Volunteers
Volunteering is fun and is a good way to make new friends, learn new skills and share your skills and interests with others. All NCHI functions and activities are organized and held by our members who volunteer their precious time and many talents. The Volunteer is a vital part of NCHI, providing the fundamental support and energy essential to success. Without a strong volunteer membership NCHI would not be able to provide the community with such diverse and fun filled horse related activities.

Club House
In addition to regularly scheduled club meetings and activities the clubhouse is rented out to non-club related groups. It can also be made available to members for personal functions at a reduced rate.
Call the NCHI phone number (530) 273-1507 and leave a message. Messages are picked up daily

Bulls Only Rodeo
The Bulls Only Rodeo is one of the club's most recent additions to the extensive list of events. With plenty of chills and spills it's guaranteed to be on your "Not To Be Missed" list.

Wild West Rodeo
One of the few remaining rodeos in this area. Put on strictly through the efforts of volunteers and sponsors it is held purely for the old fashioned fun of it and has a good old home town flavor.

Gymkhana
Gymkhana combines speed, agility and horsemanship as competitors maneuver their equine through and around various obstacles. Gymkhana competitions are regularly scheduled throughout the year.

Rodeo Queen
Local young women compete at the club for the Rodeo Queen title and the honor of carrying Old Glory at the Wild West Rodeo.

Junior's Club
Join the next generation of Heritage on Horseback...NCHI's Junior Club. More than just horsin' around...from bowling to horse camping, go-carts to gymkhana. Leadership, horsemanship, and friendship meet here! 7:00 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to the Friday General Meeting at the Trails End Club House.

Team Penning
From late spring to early fall NCHI hosts weekly team penning completions. Team Pennings are held every Saturday night starting at 6:30 p.m. and can last until the cows come home. Call for exact start-up dates and fees. Spectators welcome free of charge.
